prain web/tui --persona FILE sends the file as the system message ahead of every warm-up and
answer; the page shows its name. Three examples in examples/personas (task, how to answer,
environment, how to use it). A persona costs 2.0-3.2 s once (241-467 tokens), then at most
0.3 s per conversation from the prefix cache.
README rewritten around launching: quick start, the vLLM flags, a quantization table measured
today at equal expert VRAM (bf16 0.90 / int8 2.19 / int4 5.19 tok/s; 2.3k-token prompt 69.5 /
32.3 / 20.5 s; 4 of 6 int8 and 0 of 6 int4 answers identical to bf16, one int4 answer wrong),
how to switch formats, the VRAM budget, writing personas, the chats and the monitor.
A clear chat page (markdown, code blocks with copy, stop, new chat, kept in the browser,
drafts shown as such) and a monitor sidebar, a sheet on phones: tokens/s, a live map of the
30 x 128 experts (in VRAM, used now, copied in), VRAM hit rate, copies, context, prompt cache,
GPU VRAM/load/temperature/power/fan. GET /status merges vLLM /metrics, amdgpu sysfs and the
stats file, which now lists the experts in VRAM. /warm answers 202 when a warm-up starts.
README: the int4 kernels, their A/B, 2048-token chunks as a trade, prompt logprobs limit.
Measured on the live 16k agent setup (A/B with runtime flags, greedy answers vs reference):
decode 3.49 -> 5.24 tok/s, first token 4.3 -> 3.3 s, 2.3k-token prompt 27.5 -> 20.6 s,
same answers. Dropped after measuring: route stats on the CPU, a Triton router GEMV,
pregate prefetch from disk (all within noise or slower).
The GEMV keeps one config instead of autotuning: Triton benchmarks with a 256 MiB buffer
that torch keeps cached, which left 8 MiB of VRAM and made lazy kernel loads fail
(hipErrorNoBinaryForGpu). prain also returns torch cached blocks after materializing and
whenever the driver has < 128 MiB free. quality.py score --greedy-only skips prompt logprobs,
which OOM the 16k config.
